Paul & Joe Spring 2011 | Nail Enamel 009 Ray, 010 Splendour, 011 Prism (Limited Edition)

by Jess on Friday, February 11th, 2011 · 31 comments

Paul & Joe has come out with five really pretty nail polishes for this spring. So, how could I resist getting all of them?! And the other reason, I had to get all of them of course is the fact that these are limited edition! See how easy it is to allure me? Haha…

Well, ok… Today, I’m going to show you 009 Ray, 010 Splendour and 011 Prism (007 Dapple and 008 Sunshine are still in the mail). I’m sorry that I didn’t manage to do swatches for you yet! Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy the eye candies! :)

Paul & Joe Nail Enamel ~ 009 Ray (Soft shimmering cream)

Ray is a creamy white color with shimmer to it, which applies pretty much translucent with one coat and almost opaque with the second coat.

_
Paul & Joe Nail Enamel ~ 010 Splendour (Warm coral pink)

Splendour is a really pretty and cheerful coral pink color for the spring. It applies nearly opaque with one coat, 100% opaque with the second coat. The consistency is good enough to apply for a smooth and streak-free finish. But I noticed the lacquer is a bit thick when compared to my absolute favorite Dior nail polishes (speaking of the new formulated ones with the re-shaped brushes).

Paul & Joe Nail Enamel ~ 011 Prism (Sheer pink with sparkles)

Prism is a rosy pink with multi colored shimmer and chunkier glitter to it. I’ve been preferring nail polishes with a cream finish lately, but this is one of the few shimmery ones that I really like. I feel it makes my hands look brighter too!

- – -

If I had to pick only one out of the three, I would probably go for 010 Splendour, simply because it is the perfect color for a bright and cheerful look for the upcoming spring season.  And because I’m very into coral pinks lately. This obsession also applies to clothes and accessories!

Anyone got tempted to pick up one of these Paul & Joe Nail Enamels? I would love to hear which one you would go for, and what color you are loving for the upcoming spring!

Yay, another one who thinks alike! :)
Dior has a similar color, but there is some shimmer to it. Really pretty too – I had to force myself hard not to buy, haha…

Splendour is so pretty! ♥ I have my eye on the green one, which seems the perfect “spring” shade. :D (Well, had, because I forgot all about Paul & Joe until reading this post… too many spring collections to keep track of x___X

ps Karen Walker is quite easy to find where I live in Australia, so I’d be happy to help if you ever require it. :)

Ray is a lovely shade indeed! I’ve been mostly wearing dark shades like grey the past few months during fall/winter, so bright colors it is now!

YAY! So glad you are back! I’ve been wanting to get some more P&J polishes but they are very expensive in the USA, and hard to find! I love all the ones you got! So envious!

P&J nailpolishes are lovely. Oddly enough, ‘Ray’ is my favorite out of the three. I have been very into nude, cream and other pastel shades for clothing lately and ‘Ray’ seems like it would match my style for this spring. :P
