More acquisitions from Lunasol Spring 2011 Collection!

by Jess on Monday, March 21st, 2011 · 27 comments

Hello! Happy Monday everyone! It’s March 21st! Yay, it’s officially spring! Isn’t spring  just your favorite season too?

Today, I wanted to show you the Lunasol items that I got about 2 or 3 weeks ago from the Lunasol Spring 2011 Collection. Ughh… I feel I have been holding these back from you way too long, so without any further ado, on we go!

_
Lunasol Ocean Scene Eyes ~ 03 Vivid Ocean

Ocean Scene Eyes ~ 03 Vivid Ocean is a bright and fresh blue-green toned palette that makes a great spring and summer palette!

All shadows are incredibly smooth and silky to the touch, and the shimmer is super fine, except for the dark smoke blue which has chunkier flecks.

I’m really fond of the fact that there is a color scheme on the back of the newer released palettes now, so I need not open the palette to check anymore!

The colors in clockwise direction: aqua blue, bright mint, dark smoke blue and bright yellow.

_
Lunasol Full Glamour Liquid Lips ~ 07 Sugar Pink

The Full Glamour Liquid Lips has been released with this spring collection, and I decided to get one myself to try.

It comes with a slanted doe-foot applicator which is really nice to use, as you can apply the gloss very precisely on the edges of your lips too.

I think the name ‘Sugar Pink’ is a bit misleading, since it does not look that pink at all. It is more of a  peachy color with a hint of pink. The golden shimmer looks really good on the lips, and is definitely not that noticeable as you might think.

I like the creamy and non-sticky formula that instantly makes my lips look plump and super shiny. However, I’m a bit disappointed about the lack of pigmentation, as the Full Glamour Liquid Lips are supposed to combine both the coloration of a lipstick and the moist luster of a lipgloss.

_
Lunasol Sheer Illuminating Highlight ~ 02 Sheer Beige

I have been looking for a highlighter, which would give me a illuminate and glowy finish. Of course, I was sold when I read Lunasol Illuminating Highlight!

Sadly, I’m not very pleased with this product at all. The result with this highlighter is simply too decent, no matter how much I apply. Thus, where is the point of this product?

- – -

I have been fiddling about my blog layout these couple of days, and ended up with going for a peach/brown color scheme, a new font, and a new header image. I hope you like it, and what is more important, I hope it is still easy to read! Let me know, if anything hurts your eyes!

A big ‘Thanks!’ to Cynthia for helping me with the favicon for my site! ♥
I think it looks adorable! What do you think?

Last but not least, I wanted to let you all know about Penelope’s first giveaway that is going on until April 1st! Go check it out, if you haven’t already!

Hey thanks for the shout out and for tagging me. Your website is really nice, love the theme to your website. I love all the stuff that you purchase, I’ve been trying to find a good highlighter too, but not avail in USA. I can’t find a decent one. I heard this Coffret D’or a blush and highlighter is pretty good at imomoko.com website, but it’s out of stock.

I’m loving your new color scheme and layout! I actually think the color of that lipgloss is quite pretty (I love gold shimmer peachy-pinks), but I can see what you mean about the lack of pigment based on their description. Lunasol eyeshadow palettes are always so gorgeous to look at~*googly eyes*
