Fotd | Ready to Glow…

Hello! Woah, it’s Wednesday already! It seems to me that time just flies by… Someone on facebook said ‘Sometimes I wished I could stop, rewind, and forward the time!’. I say yes yes yes…!

I promised to be a more diligent blogger this week, so here is my second post of this week, yay! Today’s post features my FOTD with the Dior 5 Couleurs Iridescent ~ 649 Ready-To-Glow palette that I received as a gift from my dear friend Ruth!

Here goes the products I used..

. Shiseido Natural Finish Cream Concealer ~ 1 Light
. MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15 ~ Light
. Guerlain Météorites Powder For The Face ~ Beige Chic 03

. MAC Prep + Prime Eyes ~ Light
. Dior 5 Couleurs Iridescent ~ 649 Ready-To-Glow
. MAC Fluidline Blitz & Glitz
. Guerlain Eyeliner ~ Khol Me Ivory 00
. Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara

. Paul & Joe Pressed Powder N ~ 05
. NARS Blush ~ Sex Appeal
. Chanel Rouge Coco Shine ~ 48 Évasion

I like all the shades in this palette!

Thumbs up, if you detected the grey hair on my head!!! Now, it’s no secret anymore that I am an old lady, haha…

Sorry for the triple exclamation mark and very frequent triple dots, but if there is one thing you should know about me, is that I love to misabuse punctuation marks! Well, so much about randomness…

So basically, this is another neutral look. The golden peach shadow of 649 Ready-To-Glow gives this neutral look a really springy and summery touch though! Peachy shades like this usually make my eyes look even puffier than they already are.

The trick to minimize this unwanted side effect is to use the brown shade to create a little depth to the eyes. Issue solved! ;)

The Guerlain Météorites Powder For The Face is definitely one of my all-time favorite powders. It makes my skin look illuminate and adds a subtle glow. Beige Chic 03 is perfect for lightly neutralizing the redness of my skintone.

If you are looking for a very fine powder without the matte finish, I highly recommend this product to you! I’m still having the old version of the Météorites Powder. Meanwhile, Guerlain has revised the packaging and the shades, so I’m very tempted to get the new one too, haha…

  • applied golden peach shade allover the lid
  • blended the taupe color into the peach starting from the lashline upwards
  • dark brown on the outer corner
  • the gunmetal color on the outer lower lashline
  • the bright pink in the inner corner and inner lower lashline to brighten up the eyes
  • Guerlain Eyeliner ~ Khol Me Ivory 00 on the waterline
  • line and tight-line the upper lid with MAC Fluidline ~ Blitz & Glitz
  • curl the lashes and apply mascara

On my cheeks I’m wearing NARS Blush in Sex Appeal. A really cute peachy pink color, isn’t it? On my lips, it’s Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 48 Évasion. Also a peachy pink color. Turns out pinker here, because my lips are even more pigmented today than usual.

I’m absolutely in love with Ready-To-Glow! The five shades go together just so beautifully! Totally blown away… If I had to pick one palette to take with me on summer vacation, Ready-To-Glow is certainly going to be on my A-list!

Hope you enjoyed my Ready-To-Glow look!
Now, tell me about your favorite spring/summer eyeshadow palette! Happy midweek everyone!

Lovely palette! After reading your post I’m so tempted to get this palette, but these Dior palette are awfully pricey that leaves a hole in my wallet. I haven’t had a slight clue which is my favorite for spring/summer palette. I still haven’t done an actual review on my Dior 809 Petal Shine. I’m so lazy! I like to purchase but then don’t make full use of it.

Dior 809 Petal Shine is a gorgeous spring/summer palette too!
I got super lazy too when it comes to reviewing my beauty products! :/

This is a beautiful FOTD Jess!!! It is absolutely perfect!

You know, I think that in general, women seem to be getting gray/white hair earlier and earlier in life. Sucks doesn’t it?!

So pretty, Jess! I’m still using the old Meteorites too–it’s so tempting for me to pick up the newly revamped ones because the packaging is so darling, but I rarely use the one I have now :S

Jess April 15, 2011 at 03:51

Tammy, you say it! New packaging is so tempting me too, haha…

laura April 15, 2011 at 04:51

gorgeous, gorgeous look! I love how your skin has a beautiful glow. Is that from the beads? I haven’t had luck with finding products that make me look like I have a NATURAL glow (like yours)… I may have to look into the products you’ve listed.

Hi Laura! I think the glow comes from the Guerlain Météorites Powder For the Face and the Paul & Joe Powder that I used as a highlighter! Thank you for stopping by my blog!
