Clothes & Shoes | Kookai Lace-up Ankle Boots

Hello! I know, I know… first, I should be posting about the Clé de Peau products that I showed you a preview pic of in my previous post. Secondly, this is totally non-beauty related. But for some reason, I suddenly got the urge to show you the pair of lace-up ankle boots that I got on my short trip to Barcelona a few weeks ago.

Yes, besides my passion for cosmetics, I’m also quite a bit into shoes, clothes, bags, etc… And lately, I seem to be a little obsessed with shoes. Oh my poor wallet!

So, here are the lace-up ankle boots that are eagerly waiting to be showed! I got them from the Kookai store in Barcelona. Kookai is a French fashion brand which feminine, chic and wearable style I really love. I wished we had Kookai here in Austria!

I saw this pair in the display window worn by mannequins when I was strolling around the city. Guess what? It  was love at first sight! I haven’t worn shoes with heels on a regularly basis in ages actually. To my surprise and fortunately, this pair is pretty comfortable to walk in given the thin heels.

The leather is so incredibly soft, and the craftsmanship is topnotch for the price. Isn’t the caramel brown color to die for? I’m actually very into caramel, burnt and rusty browns this season, be it with shoes and clothes or makeup!

I think the classic style of this pair of lace-up ankle boots will go with many outfits. Especially great with a pair of skinny jeans or with short pants and tights.

Best part of the buy was, the store had a special shopping night event going on that day, thus everything was 30% off! Lucky me!

I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures!

There actually have been some shops selling Kookai clothes and accessories, but for some reason, this brand got very rare… Thanks for your comment, Georgina!

Very cute!! I love how those ankle boots look – I’ve been looking for ones that are flat though… I know no matter how comfortable the heeled ones are my back just won’t take it! I’m such an old person lol…

Hi Jess I feel your ‘pain’, being obsessed with both makeup and fashion is not healthy at all! :-P
This pair of boots is so hot, love the fact it has a retro touch to it. I would totally get them if they are in Australia :-)

Hii Jess these boots are beautiful!!! :D
We actually do have Kookai here in the UK, but I never paid it much attention because when I was 13, all the girls who weren’t very ‘wholesome’ used to buy extremely short outfits from there. I have changed my view of it a bit now and will have another look the next time I track down a store.

Jess October 19, 2011 at 04:12

Oh lucky you, Jian! Yes, do have a look at Kookai the next time you see it!

Mindy October 18, 2011 at 15:57

OMG!!! Those are probably the most gorgeous ankle boots I’ve seen yet!! I love anything in that shade of brown and the lace up adds a nice touch!

Jess October 19, 2011 at 04:17

I’m glad you love them too, Mindy! Yes, this shade of brown is so pretty, isn’t it? Thank you for commenting, Mindy!
