Makeup Brushes | My SUQQU Brush Collection

by Jess on Friday, November 18th, 2011 · 40 comments

Hello! Makeup brushes have always ‘fascinated’ me for some reason, and I could spend hours at a counter looking, feeling and comparing different brushes. Tell me, I’m not the only one! :)

So, today I would like to show you my latest makeup brushes that I added to my collection, which ranges from MAC, Bobbi Brown, Dior, Shu Uemura to RMK. As the post title already reveals, the latest additions are from SUQQU! On a random side note, if you followed me on twitter, you might have noticed that me and my lovely blogger friends Sheila, Karen have been tweeting about this brand like crazy the past few days. Yes, we are hooked on SUQQU, aren’t we?

Coming back to the actual post topic, I have been wanting the SUQQU Face Brush and SUQQU Cheek Brush for the longest time actually (for 2 years…?). I have to admit that I was choked when I found out about the heavy price tag. But upon careful consideration, I’m now a proud owner of four SUQQU brushes!

Enough of words! Here are the photos of my ‘humble’ SUQQU brush collection consisting of Face Brush, Cheek Brush, Eyeshadow Brush L and Eyeshadow Brush M. I’m not going into reviewing or details in this post. I will do a review at a later date.

Every SUQQU brush comes in a SUQQU signature paper box. Very simple and clean, but very classy.

Et voilá, the brushes! SUQQU makeup brushes are made of 100% finest gray squirrel hair. All that I can say here is, amazingly soft and silky.

The brushes are all densely packed, yet the bounciness and resistance of the hair is still given.

I adore the highly glossy handles. I’m not sure if they are made of wood or a plastic material, but they have a very sturdy feel and lie comfortably in the hand.

The very subtle SUQQU emblem on the handle creates an even more classy and luxurious look, doesn’t it?

At the bottom line, I must say I’m happy to have bought these brushes. Yes, they are super expensive, but it’s like Reika said “… We all have handbags right? Do you consider having a Birkin as a must-have?” Reika is an amazing beauty blogger with a great sense for fashion, and I probably need to blame her to get me intrigued with SUQQU that much these days. Go and check out her awesome SUQQU posts, and you will find out how she made it!

Last but not least, I have another teaser picture for you! Guess what it’s about?
Yes, more SUQQU! I ordered these items online at DollyLeo. Can you feel my excitement?

My SUQQU brushes were purchased for me with the help of my dear blogger friend Jamilla at Selfridges & Co. Did you know that SUQQU products are more reasonably priced in the UK than in Japan, although it is a Japanese brand? For prices and more information about SUQQU products, check out the SUQQU website.

Hello Katherine! Yes, SUQQU is indeed not easily accessible. But try the online shops like Selfridges & Co, DollyLeo, Ichibankao or Mihokoshop!

I’ve heard a great deal about them but they’re soooooooooooo expensive!!! So do you mean it’s cheaper in the UK than in Japan? I’m from Singapore, so where should I get it from?
