Hello! I feel like I haven’t shared a haul post for quite a while, and since the weather over here is foggy and dull most of the time making it a harder task to take proper photographs, I thought I would just do a quick show and review. Here are a few products that I picked up recently.
Guerlain Abeille Royale Up-Lifting Eye Care
I have been using this eye cream for about two three weeks now. I love the cream consistency that is not overly rich, but just rich enough to leave my dry and delicate eye area feeling well moisturized. It applies smoothly and absorbs nicely. I feel that it has a nice de-puffing effect, as I noticed I wake up with more rested-looking eyes in the morning.
Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse
Makeup removal and cleansing is the first step in order to get clear and healthy skin. Residues of makeup, oil and dirt will clog up the pores and cause zits.
I got this Cleanser after reading Reika’s awesome review, since the description of her skin condition exactly could be that of mine. My skin is pretty unbalanced lately due to intense stress and lack of sleep. It is very dehydrated and sensitive, but at the same time annoyingly breaking out.
I have been using the Extra Balm Rinse every night for more than a week now, and I’m very enjoying it. The consistency feels like a somewhat waxy gel-balm that needs some effort to spread. But once you start massaging it onto your skin, the resulting warmth will make it a lot smoother and easier to work with.
After using this balm, I’ll reach for my beloved and trusted Kanebo Sensai Silky Purifying Creamy Soap to get rid of all residues. I have noticed that my skin has become clearer and more calmed since I started using, so I definitely will re-purchase.
If I had to criticize something about this product, then it would probably be the heavy glass jar the balm comes in. It looks lovely in the bath for sure, but it is such a ‘diffcult-to travel-with-product’.
Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Mascara Feline Blacks Waterproof
I have just used this mascara once since I got it. I would like to try it out a few times more before making my statement.
Giorgio Armani Designer Lift Foundation ~ 3
This has become my favorite liquid foundation besides the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua (which I have yet to review)! All I can say about the Designer Lift Foundation is: PERFECTION! Perfect color match – beautifully brightens up the complexion and evens out the redness, perfect consistency – spreads and blends effortlessly, perfect lightweight feel, perfect finish – smooth and dewy.
Origins Zero Oil Pore purifying Toner with Saw Palmetto and Mint
This is my second bottle already. I have used this toner some time back when my skin was prone to break outs. It contains salicylic acid, which is a common ingredient in skincare products to prevent or fight acne. It’s alcohol-free though. I like this toner as it is not harsh and too drying for my dehydrated and sensitive skin.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex
This is probably one of the best known serums on the market I think. Nevertheless, I have never felt the urge to try it out even though I heard and read a lot of raves. Honestly, I have been quite skeptical about this product. I don’t exactly know why actually…. Perhaps because of the bad experience I had to encounter with Estee Lauder skincare products quite a few years back.
The reason why I finally decided to try this serum has to be my cousin. She has been suffering from severe acne scars and pigmentation. And then after a month since she started to use this serum, her skin has significantly improved. The acne scars and pigmentation were so much less visible, and we also noticed an overall brighter and smoother skin.
I have been using it for more than a week now, and so far I’m really liking it too. I will report back in depth at a later time!
I hope the quick reviews were helpful. Thank you for reading!
